The Role

UIT is seeking a QA Engineer to help ensure the quality, stability, and performance of our products and systems. Based in Mumbai, this role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about identifying issues before they reach users.

Key Responsibilities

Test software applications to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
Execute manual test cases and document test results accurately.
Collaborate with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and validate functionality.
Report bugs clearly, track them through resolution, and verify fixes.
Review product requirements and design specifications to ensure test coverage.
Support regression, functional, and smoke testing activities across releases.
Contribute to improving QA processes, test documentation, and overall product quality.

Required Qualifications

0 to 2 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related role.
Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, testing concepts, and the software development lifecycle.
Familiarity with manual testing techniques, test case creation, and defect reporting.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Basic knowledge of general QA tools and practices relevant to the role.

Nice to Have

Exposure to test automation tools or frameworks.
Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.
Familiarity with API testing or database validation.
Understanding of performance or security testing basics.
