The Role

UIT is looking for a Software Testing professional to help ensure the quality, stability, and performance of our applications. Based in Noida, this role plays a critical part in identifying defects early, validating functionality, and supporting the delivery of dependable software experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution using standard defect management tools.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing across web or software applications.
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and improve quality.
• Validate bug fixes and verify that enhancements meet expected outcomes.
• Prepare test reports, status updates, and quality metrics for review.
• Contribute to test planning, test data preparation, and continuous improvement of QA processes.

Required Qualifications

• 1 to 4 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of manual testing concepts, test case design, and defect lifecycle.
• Good knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Hands-on experience with general QA skills such as functional testing, regression testing, and bug reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to automation testing tools or scripting basics.
• Experience with test management or defect tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with API testing or database validation.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices.
